Jouri

Full, rounded roses, painted layer upon layer.

Pink jouri roses, full of petals, between dark green leaves. Maysoun painted them layer upon layer, firing after firing, until the roses gained depth and shadow.

This is the rose that the old houses of Damascus and the Levant know well, in a calm color that suits any living room.

Flowers of the House

Porcelain painting began with flowers and nature, and it is an old, noble craft. Three square ceramic panels, one flower each: cyclamen, the jouri rose and the pansy. The calm, honest colors of nature, for your eyes and your heart.
