From the wall “The Four Seasons”
Tishreen
She dances barefoot, lifting bunches of grapes.
A woman dances barefoot and lifts a bunch of grapes, with a spotted skin over her shoulder, a staff wrapped in grapes in her hand and an overturned jar at her feet. She is autumn, the season of vineyards and celebration.
Her symbols come from ancient Greek art: the light dress, the staff and the overturned jar that says the joy is at its height. Tishreen is the autumn month of the Levant.
